This pet exercise wheel from Lilliphut is the king of pet wheels! It has been well thought out and is a great size. As a family, we are considering having pet rats and I am currently in my research phase where I like to gather all of the information before we design and build a habitat for them, like we did with our guinea pigs. It's worth taking time to get things right first time, especially to ensure your pets have the right size home for their comfort and the right accessories. Rats are said to be just as intelligent as dogs and we are super excited about our upcoming venture.I had been reading about wheels and the different types and this sort of wheel, which has a smooth and flat interior, with no holes for creatures to catch their feet on, comes up tops. Small animals can suffer from back pain if their wheel is too small for them and a larger wheel like this will allow them to stretch out while they are running. There are no spokes or gears or anything inside this wheel for your furry friend to hurt themselves on, everything is on the outside, making it much safer for them to exercise. As you can see from my video, the wheel is pretty quiet too so shouldn't be too intrusive if your nocturnal exercising pet is inside your child's bedroom.When you assemble the wheel pay close attention to the instructions. We found it best to put your palm inside the wheel and give it some support while you are attaching the stand to the outside. This wheel may be a little more expensive than some but you get what you pay for and it's worth paying a little extra for something a lot better!

At 40cm in diameter, this exercise wheel is a really good size, making it suitable smaller and larger pets alike.It's easy to set up and has a metal base, helping to keep it in position securely. The back is also flat, so you can position it right up against the cage, reducing the amount of space required and helping to keep it more stable.It's done a good job so far, with my hamster enjoying and taking to it without any issues at all.All in all, it's a good pet exercise wheel.
